Inari Ōkami
My contribution to the “Gods and Goddesses” group show, opening May 11 in Kunstcafé de Cantine Amsterdam.
This painting represents my interpretation of the Shintō god/goddess Inari, the protector of rice cultivation and the patron deity of swordsmiths. The painting represents two depictions of Inari, the main being a beautiful young woman. The fox is identified as the messenger of Inari.50 cm x 50 cm (ca 19″x19″) oil on canvas.
