ART: Hair Alphabet by Shurong Diao
Holy hair…. This hairy alphabet by Shurong Diao is inspired by Chinese calligraphy. Shurong Diao wanted to build a connection between Chinese characters and Roman letters.
“I ran away when I was about sixteen. I’d had enough…I hated the lot of them: my parents with their pure-blood mania, convinced that to be a Black made you practically royal…my idiot brother, soft enough to believe them…They thought Voldemort had the right idea, they were all for the purification of the wizarding race, getting rid of Muggle-borns and having pure-bloods in charge.”

Deer by Lu He (鹿菏)
“No, man, we’re gonna stick with you through thick and thin, man. You can count on us.”
Illustration – Tran Nguyen
The new work by Tran Nguyen set forth in Thinkspace Gallery in California. This Vietnamese-born artist received a degree in Illustration at the Savannah College of Art and Design, which I dedicated an entry to its fabulous series ” A Place procured From Our Yesteryears “. Nguyen has a deep interest in therapeutic imagery. He is fascinated with creating visuals that can be used as a vehicle of psychotherapeutic support, dreamy surreal exploration of the mind.

Challenge 45: Get Your Gif On: June Wants to Play
This was SUCH a fun challenge, so thank you, Casey! I hadn’t ever made a gif before, and now I think I want to try experimenting with it some more.
Here is June, eager to play. She is so cute when her ears perk up and her curly tail wags. It’s funny, too, because she will only comfortably do this with animals much smaller than she is.
Enjoy!
