Back when I was a big fan of the MCU, I recast the white dude heroes as women of color. Someone brought back the Lucy Liu one, and I thought I’d make something a little more polished than the original.

The name stuck, despite Rhodey dropping hints that maybe it's not such a great name. It's only years later when they end up pilot Whiskey Tango together that Tony find out the meaning of the name from a laughing ground crew member. Nobody really knows whether to laugh or cry, given Whiskey's pilots.
